Calculation of illuminance

	At this stage, together with our client we try to imagine the way the object will be illuminated, the elements of illumination it will contain and the color spectrum for the realization of the project. In order to do this we need the plan of object with its parameters (length, width, height of the ceiling, the size of the windows, etc.). In order to make a more detailed computation we need to know the function of the object, the conditions of its functioning, the type and color of the material which is used in the treatment of floors and ceilings. Besides, we discuss all other information we find necessary for our work. One of the conditions for the beginning of our work is the pictures of the object or the design-project of the would-be interior.
	We create a computer-based model of the premises having discussed beforehand the types of sources of light, their possible location and position regarding the illuminated elements, the total power consumption and other aspects. Modeling is carried out based on the original pictures of the object or three-dimensional design-models sent to us by the client. Based on the client’s sketches, we place furniture in the premises. We choose the color and texture of the surfaces to bring the model as close as possible to the real look of the future object. At this stage, there is a real possibility to see the object from the inside and to correct all “the roughness” of equipment location and the chosen color or texture of decoration.
	Being in cooperation with the client, we find out his idea of what should appear as a result of our work and we provide him with various schemes to achieve the set goal. The means of achieving the necessary effect are numerous because in order to get one and the same level of illuminance we can use absolutely different systems of light.
	After approving the types of lamps we according to the norms of lighting calculate the illuminance with professional programs and as a result of which we receive diagrams of illuminance as a graph of isolines, bucketing of grey color scales or other isometric data. The diagram makes it possible to see the level of illuminance at any place of the premises and to make sure that the choice of the number of lamps and their positions were made correctly.
	In order to perceive the results of the calculation in a simpler manner, we build a 3-D picture of the math model of the given object. This actually allows to have a look at the future premise from the inside…
